For nearly fifteen years, BME has been a leader in family and kids' entertainment, producing a wide variety of theatrical feature films, direct to video films, and television series for both cable and broadcast, and home video. BME continues to be the largest out-sourced vendor of production for the Disney Channel. BME also has a respected reputation for discovering several of today's top stars, giving them their big break and grooming them for successful Hollywood careers. BME is proud to have produced 100 episodes of the Disney channel's highest rated TV series That's So Raven staring Raven Symone; prior to that they produced 65 episodes and won an Emmy for the Disney Channel's hit series Even Stevens starring Shia Labeouf and Christy Carlson Romano; and The Even Stevens Movie, which BME produced and partner Sean McNamara directed. Even Stevens has also been the proud recipient of the coveted BAFTA (British Academy of Television Arts and Sciences) Award in the category of Children's International Programming. In addition to their success in television, BME has produced and Sean McNamara directed 5 family films for Lions Gate, 20th Century Fox, PorchLight and Colombia Pictures starring such notable names as James Woods, Scott Bakula, Jim Varney, Fred Dryer and Daniel Baldwin. BME has also become widely known as the producers who discover tomorrow's stars. BME is proud to have discovered Hilary Duff, Christy Carlson Romano, Raven Symone and Shia Labeouf. BME continues to work and develop projects with these rising stars and in the future hopes to manage the careers of their next discoveries. In 2004/2005 BME raised its profile throughout the industry when Sean McNamara directed and BME produced the New Line feature film, Raise Your Voice starring teen sensation Hilary Duff. They also sold and produced 13 episodes of Just for Kicks, a teen girl's soccer show with Executive Producer Whoopi Goldberg for Nickelodeon. In 2005, BME created their first drama Beyond the Break, which they arranged financing for and sold to The "N", Viacom/Nickelodeon's hot new channel targeted at the much desired "teen" audience. BME has just completed production of 14 more half hour episodes shot entirely in Hawaii, bringing the order to 34 completed episodes. In between these two series, Sean McNamara directed and BME produced The Cutting Edge: Going for the Gold, for Sony/MGM. The film premiered on ABC Family Channel and was the channel's highest rated movie in over two years. In 2006 BME produced 39 combined episodes of Cake and Dance Revolution (based on the popular game) for CBS Saturday morning. In 2007 BME produced 20 half-hour episodes of the live-action/animation hybrid Out of Jimmy's Head for Cartoon Network. They also produced the sequel to Legally Blonde, entitled Legally Blondes for MGM/Fox, which will be released August 2008. Sean McNamara also directed the live action theatrical, Bratz based on the best selling dolls. With a production cost of $6 million, the film has grossed $26 million worldwide to date. BME continues to verify to the industry they can develop, produce, and bring in on budget and schedule, multiple TV series and film simultaneously.
