Market Street Settlement Group was founded in 1984 as Landmark Title Company, then a two-person firm created to serve local lenders and real estate agents. Within a few years, Landmark grew to 45 employees, and opened new offices in Portsmouth, Concord, and Londonderry. In 1998, Landmark moved its corporate headquarters to 70 Market Street in the historic executive mill-housing section of downtown Manchester, NH. Shortly thereafter, Landmark launched its new identity Market Street Settlement Group, Inc. signifying both our change in address, and the industrys newly found focus on the settlement of the real estate transaction. In 2003, Market Street launched Market Street Commercial Title Company, an entity solely dedicated to the commercial transaction. Staffed with seasoned commercial attorneys and paralegals, MSCTC offers its clients a law firm dedication to thoroughness and accuracy in closing documentation, with title company pricing and focus on customer service. In 2004, Market Street entered the world of HUD-sanctioned Affiliated Business Arrangements through the creation of two joint venture title companies; one with a leading regional real estate firm and the other with a leading local bank lender. In February 2005, Market Street was purchased by the Title Resource Group (TRG), a subsidiary of Realogy Corporation, to expand TRGs footprint into New England. Today, Market Street and its joint ventures and affiliate entities employ over 60 employees in 11 offices throughout New Hampshire and Maine. From Keene, NH to Bangor, ME, Market Street has positioned itself as the leading settlement service provider for residential and commercial real estate agents and lenders.
