On-Fire Ministries
Info
On-Fire Ministries is an outreach ministry devoted to bringing the Gospel of Jesus Christ to our youth, and preparing a generation of mighty spiritual warriors and harvesters to reap souls for the Kingdom of God. We believe that our love for our Father is shown primarily through our lives and our outreach, and it is our firm conviction that every born-again believer should be a reproducing unit of the Body of Christ, reproducing that which is sanctified and holy within them, passing it on to someone else, and then continuing the process. Just as Jesus changed the world with only 12 devoted, non-educated, ordinary men, our goal is to help, through the living Word of God, change the lives of ordinary men, women, girls, and boys into spiritual powerhouses that not only have enriched and empowered lives, but leave a trail of destruction of strongholds and the Devil's works. Our current focus is multi-fold. Firstly, we are working towards the founding of a community youth center in the Magnolia area that will reach out to the youth in the tri-county area (Montgomery, Harris, and Grimes). This center already has a number of corporate sponsors, and our ministry event in October, the Interstate Jam (see the Interstate Jam blog for information concerning this awesome event) benefits its founding. The center will feature an indoor skatepark, music store, skate store, music venue for regular youth worship events and open mic nights, services, and a full-blown computer lab, including high-speed internet that will be available to the general public during the day, and the youth in the evening. Sponsors such as Lockheed Martin (computers), Microsoft (extensive software), Macromedia (web design programs and cirriculum), and Sony (music production programs) have donated heavily with their products, and the center will offer a plethora of educational opportunities. Free computer literacy programs will be available as well as low cost web design classes, and so on. The center will feature a place for the children to come after school and be tutored by volunteer teachers, as well as opportunities for events every night of the week: community movie night, youth game night, and so on. It is our goal to make the center an integral part of the youth's life and spiritual development, and as such there will also be bible study classes, mentoring programs, and more. The center will also offer a food pantry and other economic programs for the community. We hope to partner with churches and other ministries in the area to make this vision a reality, and my thanks and lauds go out to those who have already generously and selflessly helped make this vision a reality. Our second focus is to begin providing one large Christian oriented event for the youth and the Body of Christ per month here in the Magnolia/Tomball/Montgomery/Conroe area. This will encompass everything from youth movie nights at the high-school auditorium, plays, skits, classic car shows, extreme skating ministries, concerts, and more. We wish to give the youth a safe, fun, family-oriented environment to be able to come to, and at the same time, give the parents an option for attending, or simply leaving their children. Thirdly, our ministry has a goal to bring a detailed, intense Christian studies program to our area to teach the Word of God to those who wish to study it. Our goal is to use the Harvestime Institute curriculim for the express purpose of equipping the saints for the evangelistic work that we as a Body are called to do, offering a comprehensive, Spirit-filled, five-fold ministry based study program leading to ordination, and support by our ministry to the work that each individual is called to do. It is our hope that your prayers will be with us as we set forth on the work that God has called us to do. Please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions, or if you would like to simply speak to us.
