The Family Advocacy Center helps educate and teach families and individuals about child abuse and neglect and how to help overcome it. The Family Advocacy Center has a number of programs and services aimed at reducing and preventing child abuse and neglect throughout the Hopkins, Webster, and Muhlenberg Counties. Prevention related activities are conducted in communities throughout the areas rely heavily upon volunteers for the provision of services.
