In 1995, GenMARK was launched to bring DNA technology to the agriculture and farming communities. Farmers and Producers who wanted to use information obtained through DNA technology could rely on the fast turnaround and friendly service of the GenMARK staff. First offering DNA-based Coat Color tests, GenMARK has helped thousands of beef and dairy producers make more informed decisions for their herds. Today, GenMARK offers several DNA/PCR genotype tests to small and large beef, dairy, sheep and hog producers and we are preparing to add several more. GenMARK is now operating as the DNA Diagnostics Division under VITA-TECH Laboratories LLC, a wholly owned US subsidiary of VITA-TECH Canada Limited.
