In 1954, Taylor-Ramsey Corporation was founded in Lynchburg, Virginia as a wholesale lumber firm. From that beginning, our company has steadily grown. Over the years we have acquired timberlands, sawmills, dry kilns, concentrations yards, distribution centers and a pine treatment facility. Today, Taylor-Ramsey Corporation and through these companies, Taylor-Ramsey Wood Preservers, Inc., Century Forest Products, Inc., and Summit Hardwoods, Inc. have over 300 dedicated employees and ship in excess of 125 million feet per year of Appalachian hardwoods, plywood, moldings, and treated Yellow Pine. Our fifty year history in this industry has been possible because we constantly evolve to meet our customers needs, and because of the dedication and knowledge of our people. We embrace the changes the next fifty years brings, and we will do whatever is necessary to be sure technological advances allow us to remain a leader in our industry.
