Seventh Son Termite and Pest Management, Inc. is currently owned by, Jim and Sherry Huffman of Macomb. Seventh Son is a local business that has been serving Macomb and West Central Illinois for more than thirty years. The name Seventh Son was originated from John McGrew (Sherry's Father). He was the seventh son, the first of eight being boys out of eleven children. That is where Seventh Son fits into our name. Sherry has been in the business her whole life; Jim has been in the business sine 1988. Located at 418 N. Dudley in Macomb. We currently serve commercial and residential accounts in and around the Macomb area. Seventh Son is a member of the Illinois Pest Control Association, the National Pest Management Association, and the Macomb Area Chamber of Commerce. We are also a part of the Macomb Community; we support different events in and around this area. We feel that this area supports us-we should support it. Macomb has plenty of things to offer to our community. During the year the Macomb Area Chamber of Commerce has many activities going on. The Macomb Balloon Rally is in September and Western Illinois University has events going on all the time. It feels good to be a part of this community. We are a member of the Macomb Area Chamber of Commerce. As a member we receive a monthly newsletter "The Macomb Area Advantage" keeping us up-to-date on area happenings. We are in the membership directory and buyers guide, listed on the Chambers web site, invited to "Business After Hours" to meet and network with other business people. We also accept the gift certificates that many people take advantage of during the holidays. We have been a sponsor of the Balloon Rally, for a couple of years. The balloon rally brings quite a crowd to Macomb. At this event there is no cost for anyone to attend. This is a great event that the whole family can enjoy. The Balloon Glow is very popular, but it is really something to see more than 25 balloons in the air at one time. We have a few pictures of the 2006 rally. If you would like to look at them just move the mouse over the picture to enlarge. The balloon that we sponsored is called the Black Orchid. It is owned and piloted be Tom Klitz from Quincy, Illinois. As a sponsor we get to help set up the balloon, chase it, then help put it up. We are already looking forward to next years Balloon Rally.
