Professional Nurses Service is a progressive health care agency, offering high tech, convalescent and respite care nursing. Although home care is our primary focus, we also provide supplementary staffing to nursing facilities and hospitals. Professional Nurses Service, Inc. was founded in Burlington in 1980 by two Vermont nurses. The company has grown to include over 200 employees, who deliver care throughout the state. Today, we celebrate creating sustainable Health Services. We are proud to say that our agency is nurse-owned and nurse-managed, and the mission remains focused on excellence in customer service. We are a Medicare Certified Home Health Agency and are accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). Professional Nurses Service is an approved provider of continuing education by the Vermont State Nurses Association, Inc. which is accredited as an approver of continuing education in Nursing by the American Nurses' Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
