Sucherman Consulting Group, Inc. is a management consulting firm specializing in media and entertainment companies with particular emphasis on the creative parts of the organization. Our basic mission is to help create programming and business strategies, reshape organizational structures and processes and recruit and coach key executives. We also facilitate strategic relationships and design and implement communications plans. All of our services are carefully tailored to the needs of the individual client to make a true, value-added difference. Our business was founded in 1987 by Stuart F. Sucherman, an award-winning television executive, producer, and creator of the groundbreaking Fred Friendly Seminars on public television. Sucherman Consulting Group operates from a decidedly different point of view. While most management consultants approach strategic and organizational issues through the lens of financial management or traditional organizational theory, SCG brings the perspective of seasoned media executives who have extensive experience in the content side of the business. We believe that consultants from the trenches of the entertainment industry can help solve the unique problems of those organizations more effectively than outsiders. We concentrate less on theoretical solutions and more on what "will work" within a unique, creative culture. SCG has assembled a team of consultants in New York and Los Angeles from the media and entertainment industries.
