Each year at Montecito, we make campus improvements inside and out, and the classrooms are sparkling and clean, with brightly colored, decorative bulletin boards and inviting materials for your children to enjoy! As always, we have created pleasing, stimulating, and safe environments for your child in each room. This year, in particular, brings renewal and revival of Montecito's long-held philosophy: We believe the bond between humans, animals and nature begins in childhood. Since our beginnings in 1961, we have dedicated this magnificent piece of land, with its sprawling heritage oak trees, open spaces, and gentle animals, to many generations of children to explore, cherish and enjoy. And we will continue to help you and your children treat the environment with care by re-using, recycling, riding (to school, that is), and help you "get back to nature." So, with this in mind, please read this special article written by my mother, the co-founder and owner of Montecito School. Welcome back, and we are looking forward to a spectacular year!
