ON BOARD was founded by Capt. John Francis McCaughey Jr. a current US Coast Guard 1600 Ton licensed Merchant Marine Officer. John has operated yachts from 106' - 180' in length, traveling the Pacific, Atlantic & Indian Oceans; the South China & Mediterranean Seas and the Sea of Cortez. He has also navigated the Inside Passages of British Columbia and Alaska and the St. Lawrence Seaway to the Great Lakes. John has managed 3 extensive restorations and refits of large motor yachts. A member of various industry associations, John is an avid proponent for advancing professionalism in the yachting community.
