Cook Martin Poulson, P.C. was founded in 1977 by Bruce M. Cook, CPA and Dwight D. Cook, CPA. They both left positions with international accounting firms and chose to focus on Cache Valley and Northern Utah business. Bruce Cook was previously with the international accounting firm of Arthur Andersen & Co. where his emphasis was in business consulting, accounting, and taxation of small businesses. Bruce currently serves as the firm manager. In 1996, Troy R. Martin, CPA, was admitted as a shareholder to the firm, coming from Rudd & Company. Troy's specialty is tax planning and small business consulting. Richard K. Poulson, CPA, joined the firm as an accountant in 1996 and became a partner in 2000. In the 2006 year we are excited to announce that our Salt Lake City office is continuing to grow. We have recently hired two new employees for our Salt Lake City office Rod Cook and Emily Brazell. We are also excited to inform you that Dwight Cook has recently left our firm to service a two year Welfare Mission in Laos for the LDS Church. In addition to the five shareholders, our team includes a continually growing cadre of certified public accountants, bookkeepers, and other professional staff.
