Thanks to the support of our loyal customers, and the dedication and hard work from our J-M family members, J-M continues to be the largest manufacturer of PVC pipe in the United States and in the world. J-M will strive to improve on all aspects of our operation. Ultimately our goal is to contribute to society at large J-M was formed in 1982 following the purchase of eight PVC pipe manufacturing facilities from the Johns-Manville Corporation. During the past twenty years of operation, we have expanded our operations through six additional plants in Wharton, TX; Fontana, CA; Batchelor, LA; Winnebago, MN; Meadville, PA; and now Adel, GA. J-M has the most modern PVC pipe production facilities in North America, and our distribution network covers all major North American pipe markets. J-M's manufacturing facilities are strategically located across the United States. They have been continually are expanded and upgraded to keep pace with the latest global production technology. J-M has independently developed its own in-house computer technology system to provide exact control over the PVC pipe extrusion process. This system ensures the highest efficiency in our production process which directly contributes to preserving a clean and healthy environment. J-M helped pioneer the AWWA C-900 and C-905 specifications, which are the dominant standards for water transmission and distribution in the United States. We also produce pipe to ASTM and/or NSF standards for water distribution,waste removal, agricultural and turf irrigation, reclaimed water, and plumbing systems; to UL and NEMA standards for electrical conduit; and to the AASHTO M-304 storm drain specification. J-M further supports these standards with seminars to educate pipe purchasers about PVC's superior product performance and value-in-use, as well as continuing our ongoing efforts to promote PVC for national, state and local specifications.
