Hunters Valley Winery is a family business producing and selling quality wines in a warm and friendly environment in Perry County. Our scenic vineyards overlook the Susquehanna River just at the spot where the historic Millersburg Ferry crosses. The Winery was established in 1987 by Bill and Darlene Kvaternik. We produce about 3500 gallons or 18,000 bottles of wine yearly. In August, 2006, the winery moved to its present location, a new building with a breathtaking view of the Susquehanna River and within easy walking distance of the vines. Visitors are encouraged to bring a picnic to enjoy in the shelter with a chilled bottle of wine. Wine is fermented, bottled and sold right at the Winery. Tours are available and tasting is free. Visitors usually are greeted by Shirley Hartz, who quickly puts folks at ease and helps them find the wines best suited to their tastes.
