South Jersey Veterinary Emergency Service (SJVES) provides 24-hour emergency and critical care 7 days a week, including weekends and holidays, for pets in southern and southwestern New Jersey. We primarily serve Atlantic, Burlington, Cape May, Cumberland, and Ocean counties, as well as towns from neighboring states. We also provide medical boarding for pets requiring around-the-clock medical monitoring or medication at regular intervals. Our emergency teams utilize cutting-edge technology including oxygen therapy, ventilators, blood transfusion, pulse oximetry, blood gases, digital radiography, fluid therapy, ECG, and ultrasound to evaluate and stabilize patients. Pets requiring further diagnostics such as endoscopy, MRI, and CT can be referred, or transferred via our shuttle service, to our team of veterinary specialists at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital. We supplement the care that your primary veterinarian provides by being available as an emergency hospital 24 hours a day. Patients are treated and stabilized and then sent home or back to their primary veterinarians for follow-up care. Those requiring further hospitalization are transferred to our ICU or patient wards until they are stable enough to be discharged. We work cooperatively with your veterinarian to make sure the office has all of the information needed for optimal follow-up treatment after the emergency visit.
