Lincoln Montessori School was founded in 1969. Housed in an architecturally designed and custom-built building the school provides a uniquely prepared environment in which children learn under the direction of trained Montessori professionals. The purpose of the school is to enrich children's lives by providing a child-centered alternative to traditional education and to support parents and families. Intelligent and thoughtful structuring of Montessori activities and their introduction to the children leads to the development of orderly, independent and successfully functioning individuals. Furthermore, spontaneous interest on the part of each child is encouraged and results in learning how to learn and in relating successfully to the world and to the people in it.
