Eastern Aviation Insurance Services, LLC, was founded in 2004 by Terry Britt and Robert L. "Buddy" Stallings, III. Buddy, our Chairman and CEO, founded Eastern Aviation Fuels in 1975 in New Bern , North Carolina . For over a quarter century, Eastern has been exclusively dedicated to the aviation industry. Serving aviation is Eastern's only business. Eastern Aviation Fuels is the exclusive marketer of Shell Aviation Fuel in the US . Terry, our President, has been involved in the aviation industry for over twenty years. A private pilot since 1982, Terry has his instrument ticket as well as his multi-engine rating. He is a past Chairman of the Gwinnett County Airport Authority, the third busiest airport in Georgia . He also served as Vice-President and General Manager of Hawthorne Gwinnett, a FBO now owned by Piedmont-Hawthorne. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Georgia Business Aviation Assoc. ("GBAA"), has written articles for several aviation magazines and speaks regularly to organizations such as the National Aviation Transportation Assoc. ("NATA"). He is happy to make himself available to any organization as a speaker. Terry's aviation insurance experience includes Sales Manager for Insuramerica Aviation and Branch Manager for NationAir Insurance Agencies in Atlanta . As a firm believer in education Terry has earned three professional designations. The Certified Insurance Counselors ("CIC') designation is one of the most prestigious in the industry. It is comprised of five seperate sections with a demanding essay test for each section. The Certified Professional Insurance Agent ("CPIA") designation is comprised of three parts and sets the Professional Agent apart from the rest. The third designation earned by Terry is the Certified Aviation Insurance Professional ("CAIP"), the only designation attainable in the aviation insurance industry. Only about one percent of the agents who work in the aviation insurance industry have earned the rare CAIP designation. Cindy Rozar, long time associate of Terry's, is our Vice-President. Cindy has been in the insurance industry for over twenty years and in aviation insurance for the past eight. Her areas of expertise include customer service, property insurance, workers compensation and business auto coverages. She is experienced in group health insurance as well as all areas of aviation insurance. She also holds the CPIA designation. Terry's dedication to the aviation insurance industry and vast experience in the aviation industry give us a unique perspective as to the needs of our clients. With Cindy's help and the support of Buddy and Eastern Aviation Fuels we feel our agency brings more to the table than a typical agency, aviation specific or not.
