Paul Miller Ford, founded in 1953 by Paul E. Miller, was originally situated on Main Street in downtown Lexington Kentucky. Miller foresaw the emergence of Lexington as a cultural and economic center in Kentucky and decided Lexington was in need of a "hometown" dealership committed to offering a high quality product produced by the Ford Motor Company at an affordable price. In 1964, after 9-years in its downtown location, Paul Miller purchased a 6-acre tract of land on what was then the outskirts of town. Miller, anticipating the needs of an expanding market, wanted to enlarge his dealership while making it more accessible to his eastern Kentucky customers. Even with his visionary planning, Miller had to scrap his original designs for the new facility in favor of a larger building with expanded parts and service areas in order to meet his customer's needs. Customer demands had grown faster than even he had anticipated. As the automobile market strengthened, Miller observed the rapid growth of the import sector in the United States. The always innovative Miller foresaw the tremendous potential this market was offering and decided to complement his existing dealership with an import vehicle offering dependability and probable longevity. In 1980 Paul Miller Mazda became an important element of the Paul Miller vision. Miller purchased a Mazda franchise and constructed an individual dealership for the import vehicle. Paul Miller didn't envision a Ford-Mazda merger when building Kentucky's first Mazda dealership, however, Ford-Mazda has since become one of the leading automotive partnerships in the world today. Paul Miller is happy to be able to continue offering an affordable import with a proven track record of dependability. And to prove his commitment to his customers, Miller opened Kentucky's first Mazda Retail Revolution Store in 2006, giving his customers a "user-friendly", state-of-the-art facility in keeping with his long standing ability to foresee the wave of the future. His original 6-acre tract has grown to a 26-acre facility offering New Ford, Mazda and a quality pre-owned inventory that is one of the largest in Central Kentucky. His love for automobiles created and fed his vision, but his business savvy and conscientious dedication to fulfilling his customer's needs and expectations has catapulted Paul Miller Ford-Mazda to today's status of being one of the most recognized dealerships in Kentucky.
