Located near Rehoboth Beach , Beebe Medical Center was founded in 1916 and is a 148-bed not-for-profit seaside community hospital. To care for summer visitors, Beebe operates an additional emergency department in Millville near Bethany Beach from Memorial Day through Labor Day. More than 35,000 patients annually visit Beebe Medical Center 's Emergency Department. Beebe Medical Center will install the ibex PulseCheck Patient Tracking and Reporting, Physician and Nurse Documentation modules with interfaces to the facility's laboratory and radiology order entry, ADT and billing systems. Rounding out the installation will be the Risk Management feature, which alerts users during the patient documentation process when presented with high risk symptoms. Developed by emergency room physicians, nurses and IT staff, ibex PulseCheck has been designed specifically for the emergency department with the flexibility to meet individual hospitals' and emergency departments' needs. The system's clinician-friendly, web browser-based format connects seamlessly to virtually all other hospital information systems.
