1968 Quality Custom Cabinetry, Inc., a privately held company founded in 1968 by Martin H. Weaver is located in the heart of the Pennsylvania Dutch country of Lancaster County in New Holland, Pennsylvania. The company's officers are Glenn L. Good, President/CEO and Jerry Weaver, Vice President. The company has experienced many changes over the last 38 years. It began as Quality Custom Kitchens in Brownstown, Pennsylvania, with 2 employees in a 2,200 sq. ft. building. This building housed the company's manufacturing, finishing and shipping department, showroom and office. The original production goal was to build one kitchen a day for local retail customers and builders; and the first year sales for 1968 were nearly $100,000. By the time the company celebrated its 25th anniversary in 1993, annual sales were close to $10 million, generated by 100 dealers and 135 employees. In the years since that anniversary, employees now number 290 and sales have tripled to $30 million annually. 1969 Fall of 1969 marked the company's move to a small furniture plant in Bareville, because a new highway would go through its original location. Bareville Furniture became the new home of Quality Custom Kitchens, with a new manufacturing shop in the rear and a new showroom in a portion of the furniture store. An adjacent brick house eventually became its corporate office. Bareville Furniture and Quality Custom Cabinetry's retail sales and design center remain at that location. In 1970, the company was incorporated. 1972 Quality's first full-time retail designer/sales person was hired in 1972. At that time, the company also recognized the great potential for wholesale and retail dealer sales. Another employee was added to develop these markets. The company's sales network, which began with two dealers in West Chester, Pennsylvania, and New Haven, Connecticut, has grown to 140 dealers in 29 states. 1983 By 1983, the company outgrew the Bareville facility, and purchased a 15,000 sq. ft. building on 3-1/2 acres of land along Peters Road in New Holland, Pennsylvania. An additional 12,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing space was added at this location so the complete manufacturing operation would be in one facility. As sales continued to climb, it required another 20,000 sq. ft. expansion for more manufacturing space, new employee lunchroom, restroom facilities and plant office. A 1-1/2 acre tract became available in 1988, on which a new two story, 9,000 sq. ft. corporate office building was constructed in 1990. 1995 January 1, 1995 marked another significant event in the company's history. The name change from Quality Custom Kitchens, Inc, to Quality Custom Cabinetry, Inc. more adequately identified its greatly expanded capabilities to create exclusive custom cabinetry for the office and every room in the home. 1999 Another 20,000 square feet of manufacturing space was added in 1999. This maximized the Peters Road land use and in 2000, lead to the purchase of 3 adjoining acres of land. 2003 Once again, Quality's capabilities are nearly out spaced by the sales demands of its markets including areas on the west coast. To meet this challenge, Quality Custom Cabinetry has expanded its operations to a current 126,000 square foot manufacturing plant, plans for an office addition and also increased parking. A retention basin and third highway access area were also a part of the expansion. 2005 Quality's growth has increased the demand for qualified office personnel in the areas of marketing, administration, sales, accounting, technical support, customer service and various other departments. The company obtained permits to expand its office facility an additional 13,500 square feet which would more than double the square footage of the headquarters. The work was started in late May and was completed in late December. 2006 Quality Custom Cabinetry, Inc. has another year of healthy growth. A new frameless product line, Saxton Cabinetry, went through a rigorous pilot program and became available through several of our Quality Custom Cabinetry dealers - www.saxtoncabinetry.com Due to the new product line, the corporate identity and overall organization was renamed to "QCCI." 2007 & the future QCCI prepares for another growth phase. An additional plant expansions, major product announcements, employee hiring & growth, and searching for additional dealers in new markets will keep the company poised for continued growth.
