At Testerman & Testerman Dental, we make safeguarding your health and safety a priority. Dental Instruments - All reusable dental instruments are cleaned ultrasonically and then chemiclaved (heat-sterilized) after every patient visit. To protect them from contamination, instruments are not removed from their sterile packaging until we're ready to use them during your visit. To ensure our equipment is working as expected, we monitor our heat sterilizers every week. The few instruments we use that are not able to withstand high temperatures are "cold sterilized" in a powerful chemical disinfectant (a "sterilant") and then rinsed with sterile water to ensure they are free of all contamination and ready for reuse. Treatment Room Surfaces - Plastic covers protect treatment room surfaces from contamination. We also clean and disinfect any uncovered surfaces that may have been touched during treatment before seating the next patient.
