Albany, New York based Turf Hotels is a regional hotel management company that concentrates on managing franchised hotels within upstate New York. Turf Hotels is owned and managed by the Hoffman Family of Albany. Each property is within a fifty-mile radius of Albany, New York so that the family can provide the hands on ownership that is part of their formula for success at each hotel. The first hotel was built in 1975 on Wolf Road in Albany and franchised as the Best Western Turf Inn® and then a Holiday Inn® in 1988 (The Hoffman family sold the Holiday Inn® Turf in 2006). The company has expanded to include a Express by Holiday Inn®, a Holiday Inn® and a Homewood Suites by Hilton®. The Albany Airport, Interstate 87, and Interstate 90 all serve as the gateways that lead to this vivacious hotel market. The award winning Express by Holiday Inn® on Western Avenue offers efficient service for the both the traveling businessperson and visitor to the area. The Albany Express recently completed an exterior renovation, and in the winter of 2006, all 121 rooms will be renovated to include flat screen plasma televisions, new furniture and new bathrooms. We will remain open during this renovation and will continue to provide all the accommodations and support that you are accustomed to at our properties. In the summer of 1990, the Hoffman family purchased the 105-room Holiday Inn® resort property in Lake George, New York. Today this property has all the amenities of a fine Adirondack family resort, and is the undisputed leader in quality lodging in the Lake George market. This property was recently recognized as one of the top 20 Holiday Inn®'s in the system. This property has a large outdoor pool with a kiddie pool and playground overlooking Lake George. The newest addition to the Turf family is the 133 room Homewood Suites by Hilton® that opened in April 2006.
