Utilization Review provides a mechanism for our physicians and medical staff to screen our patients and determine if we are providing them with the following: Services provided are rendered at the appropriate level of care Quality of services meet medical practice professional standards of care Services are medically necessary Documentation of pertinent information Assessment of continuing care needs Monitors the efficient use of health care services Enhances discharge planning Efficient medical management in the most appropriate setting The mission of Total Quality Management is to ensure that the highest level of care is being administered to Rainbow Medical Centers' patients. Total Quality Management encompasses both review of care provided by all medical personnel associated with Rainbow Medical Centers and the processes and methods utilized by the providers. The program includes concurrent retrospective and prospective reviews. Our goal is to establish, implement and monitor the impact of the action plans to improve measures of quality and services.
