UniWyo Federal Credit Union is a non profit financial cooperative owned by its members and sponsored by the University of Wyoming. Members have agreed to save money and make their collective savings available for loans to one another. In this way, both savers and borrowers derive a greater benefit than generally available in the marketplace. The board of directors is democratically elected by the members at a membership meeting held annually. Once you become a member, you may remain a member for life. We're proud to say UniWyo has historically paid a higher dividend on share (savings) and share draft (checking) accounts and charged less for loans of all types than other local financial institutions. Each member account is insured to $100,000 by the National Credit Union Administration, an agency of the federal government.
