Established in 1804, Ohio University is the oldest institution of higher learning in the state. Located in the classic college town of Athens, in southeastern Ohio, the University has earned a reputation for its rich educational tradition and outstanding academic programs. The Athens campus population of more than 19,000 includes students from nearly every state and about 100 nations from around the world. Five regional campuses extend University access across southern Ohio.
