Harold Koplar, founder of the Lodge of Four Seasons, possessed an unquenchable energy for life. Year-round, H. K. swam in the waters of the Lake of the Ozarks, regardless of season or temperature, and established a legacy of health via water that Spa Shiki succeeds today. Spa Shiki was established in 2000, building upon and enhancing H. K.'s vision for the Lodge and following his passion for Asian culture. Shiki, which means four seasons in Japanese, was derived from the ever-changing Ozark seasons.
