Info
Kejara's Bridge is owned and operated by Christen and Sarah Landry. We grew up in this area, and like many of our friends, after high school we moved away for college. Christen dualed in business administration and fine arts, and Sarah took her degree in communications. Christen moved to Colorado after graduating, where she painted, skied, hiked and waited tables. Meanwhile, Sarah spent time in Ireland, played in bands, worked in local television, and waited tables. Eventually, the lure of Leelanau County recaptured both of us. Christen had long dreamed of opening an art gallery or coffee shop, and Sarah was ready to jump into building a place that offered vegan foods that both preferred. Our original concept, a natural foods deli/coffeehouse/art gallery, sounded complicated but was the best way we could describe our goal. We both loved the pubs of Ireland and wanted to recreate some of that atmosphere, while adding our own style to the mix. As our styles change, we make changes to Kejara's Bridge, so it stays fresh to us - and if you haven't been in for awhile, better check out what's new since the last time you came in. We like to eat flavorful food, and we've both worked in restaurants since we were very young. Since neither of us had professional culinary training, we've each spent many long hours learning what flavors work together, and how to prepare foods so that all the flavors come through. We've had several years to refine our food knowledge - and we have to say "Thank you" to our patient customers for bearing with our mistakes. Today, we're delighted to have Customers who rave about Kejara's many wonderful, creative, and healthy, tasty menu items. Bursting with complex flavors and packed with goodness, we are proud to offer foods that you can feel good about eating!
