Description of Studio Arts Gallery
Studio Arts is located within The Old Pottery Place center in Laguna Beach, California at the site of the former Pottery Shack. We exhibit and sell the finest art created by a select group of Laguna Beach artists, as well as international guest artists. My husband, John, is a Master Glass Blower and 27-year exhibitor at The Sawdust Festival; 25 years at The Festival of Arts. His work is in many prestigious collections and installations, including the world-renowned Montage Hotel. We have a furnace in the gallery courtyard where daily glass blowing demonstrations are held. We invite you to see the creative cycle -- from start to finish -- of beautiful hand blown glass. Other exhibiting artists demonstrate their own unique talents on weekends and at special events. In addition to John's work and that of other glass artists, at Studio Arts you will see the various art forms showcased at Laguna's annual festivals, including: paintings, etchings, ceramics, multimedia, sculpture, photography, limited edition prints, mosaics, furniture, jewelry, metal art, garden art, woodworking, painted silk and wearable art. Crossing the threshold into the world of art, and viewing the work that has been created, can transport you to a quiet place for reflection, inspiration, peace, and even ecstasy in an increasingly chaotic environment. By looking even deeper, one can develop sharper observational skills, and even discover their own creativity. We want you to find a way in.
