Volunteer Sintered Products, Inc. is a family owned manufacturer of powdered metal products and was incorporated on July 24, 1981. Our operation consists of twenty-five thousand square feet. Our location provides us with economical rates that benefit our customers through a cost-effective pricing structure. Our geographical location is easy access to interstate highways. Raw materials are purchased pre-blended and certified by suppliers. Powder metallurgy is one of the lowest cost mass production methods for manufacturing high quality, strong, complex parts to very close tolerances. Their process employs rapid techniques; usually completely eliminates subsequent machining or finishing; requires a minimum of skilled labor; and virtually eliminates scrap loss. These are just a few of the reasons why designers, whenever they want to reduce capital cost and per component cost, are turning to powder metallurgy (P/M) techniques. Volunteer Sintered Products will recommend suitable materials and appropriate part configurations, tolerances and processing. Our staff will coordinate design of all tooling and fixtures, as well as completing control plans and PPAP's, if needed. Modern, well-maintained manufacturing equipment assures of us good quality parts and high production rates. We provide just-in-time delivery and are ISO 9001 Certified. Tool design is utilized by our AutoCAD. High quality parts are produced due to our utilization of the statistical procedure in our quality control. Lot numbers and final inspection for each shipment assures that we maintain the highest quality components. We use bar coding technology in our shipping department to provide our customers with the capability of inventory tracking processes. We also do assembly, brazing, silver soldering, black oxidizing and annealing. A personal inspection of our facility is always welcome.
