Craig "Spike" Decker and Mike Gribble, popularly known as "Spike & Mike", founded Mellow Manor Productions, Inc. in 1977. Mellow Manor is named after the famed Victorian house in Riverside where Spike, Mike and many others lived in a communal setting. This was an 'Animal House' before National Lampoon made theirs famous. Although Mike Gribble passed away in August of 1994, Spike continues to produce shows with the highest standards of artistic and subversive excellence. Spike and Mike's Festival of Animation has premiered works by Tim Burton (director of Batman - "Vincent"), John Lasseter (director of Toy Story - "Tin Toy"), Bill Plympton (MTV-popularized animator of the new film "I Married a Strange Person," Nick Park (Wallace and Gromit in Oscar-winner "A Close Shave," Oscar-winner "Wrong Trousers" and Oscar-nominee "A Grand Day Out"), David Fine and Allison Snowden (creators of Comedy Central's Bob and Margaret and Oscar-winner "Bob's Birthday"), and many others. The Sick & Twisted Festival of Animation began in 1990, and is the birthplace of Beavis and Butthead (Mike Judge, creator of "King of the Hill") - Spike and Mike produced the first two Beavis and Butthead shorts long before the characters debuted on MTV.
