Top Hat Inc. has been in business since 1981. In July of 1999, Beverly Mohns Scott, President became the sole owner of Top Hat Inc. Since 1981 the company has been involved in a variety of transportation companies such as: Top Hat Limousines: Top Hat Limousines was our very first company in 1981. We provided limousine service for weddings, birthdays, special occasions, and performers coming to La Crosse. We closed this company in 1994. CTS Taxi: For profit taxi service. This division has been open since 1982. We provide service 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We serve all populations including special needs clients. This closed November, 2005 but was reopened 6 months later and continues to serve La Crosse and it's surrounding communities. Burlington Northern Railroad and Soo Line Railroad: We transported train crews from the depots in La Crosse to and from the trains. Our territory was from Chicago Illinois to Minneapolis Minnesota. We provided service 24 hours per day, seven days per week, for twelve years. Presently, we provide service when their current provider is unavailable. Access Medical Transit: We opened this division in 1985 and are still providing service. We provide transportation to all ages. The majority of our clients are mentally and/or physically challenged but all riders are welcome. La Crosse County Human Services: Transportation to sheltered workshops, medical appointments, adult day care, child day care, parent visitations, and work sites. The clients on this contract ranged from infants to elderly including physically and mentally challenged clients. We operated this contract for approximately nine years. La Crosse County Human Services Rural Contract: This is the same type of transportation as the above contract only the service area is rural La Crosse County. We have serviced this contract for three years. La Crosse County Mini Bus: This service provides transportation to the elderly and the adult disabled. We transport people anywhere in La Crosse or Onalaska. The trip purposes are: medical, work site, nutritional, educational, social, personnel, and adult day care. We provided the Mini Bus service from 1994-2003. Trempealeau County Unified Board: Transportation to sheltered workshops and adult day care. Our clients are developmentally challenged and/or elderly. We provided this service for six years. We started this contract again in January 2000 and are presently providing the service. Access Mobility Products: We started converting vans for wheelchair transportation in 1993. Some of our services include; hand controls, wheelchair lifts and elevators, 6 way powers seats, raised roofs, lowered floors, and car toppers. Green County Human Services: Transportation for the developmentally challenged to sheltered workshop, medical appointments, and Human Services appointments. We have been the provider for this contract since 1994. Onalaska Shared Ride Taxi: We provided public transit service (section 9) for the city from 1994-1998. We provided transportation for anyone in the city including the special needs population and the elderly. Tripsoft Software: We started developing computer software for passenger transportation companies in 1994. The software assists our coordinators with reservations, schedules, billing, statistics, payroll, and vehicle maintenance. Chippewa Falls Shared Ride Taxi: We started this contract in 1996 and we still hold the contract. This is a Section 9 program, providing transportation to anyone in Chippewa Falls including special needs clients and the elderly. Veterans Administration contract in Knoxville Iowa: We provided transportation for the veterans to Des Moines and Iowa City medical facilities. We were on call 24 hours a day, seven days per week. The majority of our clients were mentally challenged. We held this contract for two years. Joplin Missouri Public Transit: We provide transportation to all residents of Joplin to go anywhere in the City. Joplin uses this form of public transit instead of transit buses. We have provided this service since 1997. Hoods Up Service Center, (Now Unique Edge Customization): We provide general vehicle maintenance to the general public. We have two A.S.E. Certified fleet mechanics and one A.S.E. Master mechanic that service our fleet as well as outside customer's vehicles. La Crosse County Human Services: Transportation for children in La Crosse County for school, medical appointments, visitations, etc. We started this contract on November 1, 1999 and it was completed in 2004. Trempealeau County Unified Board: We started transporting clients to Riverfront Industries in La Crosse on November 15, 1999 and are still providing services. The clients are developmentally challenged and/or elderly and live in Galesville, Trempealeau, and Holmen. This route operates twice per day. River Falls Shared Ride Taxi: This contract started January 1, 2000 and is running well. This is also a section 9 program, which provides transportation to the entire population of River Falls, WI. Sioux Falls South Dekota Transport: This contract is with a local hospital providing shuttle services for their employees from a remote parking lot to/from their work site. We started this contract in June of 2003 and it was completed in 2004. As of January 1, 2005, we will be providing non-emergency medical transportation services. At the present time we are operating the following businesses; Trempealeau County Unified Board, Green County Human Services contract, Chippewa Falls Shared Ride Taxi, River Falls Shared Ride Taxi, Joplin Missouri Public Transit, Access Medical Transit, Access Mobility Products, CTS Taxi, and Unique Edge Customizing.
