Regal Entertainment Group (Regal) is the parent company of Regal Entertainment Holdings, Inc. (REH), which is the parent company of Regal Cinemas Corporation (Regal Cinemas) and its subsidiaries. The Company operates theatre circuit in the United States, consisting of 6,388 screens in 527 theatres in 39 states and the District of Columbia, as of December 27, 2007, with over 242 million annual attendees during the fiscal year ended December 27, 2007 (fiscal 2007). Regal operates multi-screen theatres and has an average of 12.1 screens per location. It develops, acquires and operates multi-screen theatres primarily in mid-sized metropolitan markets and suburban growth areas of larger metropolitan markets throughout the United States. In April 2008, the Company completed the acquisition of Consolidates Theatres, in which Regal acquired a total of 28 theatres representing 400 screens.
