Parallel Computers Technology Inc.(PCTI) develops and markets performance-enhancing middleware for mission-critical databases. The company's technology uses Stateless Parallel Processing technologies to provide synchronous parallel transaction replication, query load balancing, database server fault tolerance and high performance computing. This middleware can be added-on to an existing IT infrastructure, requiring minimal changes to existing applications and can be applied to all types of database systems including MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Sybase and DB2. The current product DBxÔ supports ONLY Microsoft SQL Server. PCTI also offers consulting services for database disaster recovery planning, 24/7 database operations, general custom parallel programming, network design and implementation for Windows, Unix and Linux environments. PCTI's principals hold U.S. and international patents in large-scale parallel information processing designs. The company was founded in 1997 by Dr. Justin Shi as an independent research and development company specializing in parallel processing technologies. Dr. Shi is an experienced researcher and developer in fault tolerant high performance computing. PCTI is located in the high technology corridor in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. PCTI received the "Most Fundable Venture" award two consecutive years (2005 and 2006) from FundingPost and was awarded the second place award at Temple University's Business Plan Competition in 2006.
