Info

Enerwise and its predecessor companies have provided quality energy management solutions for commercial and industrial (C&I) customers for more than 25 years. In 1980 the Company was founded under the name Multi Test Maintenance Corp. ("Multi Test"), to provide electrical testing and maintenance services to large C&I customers. After 17 years as an independent company, Delmarva Power-a regulated utility serving markets in Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia-acquired Multi Test, which was then renamed Power Consulting Group. Thereafter, Delmarva Power became part of Conectiv, Inc. and Power Consulting Group became part of Conectiv Solutions, as a result of the merger of Delmarva Power and Atlantic Energy. In 2001 Conectiv opted to divest this segment of the Conectiv Solutions business, including the original Multi Test group, to EnerTech Capital, as capital needs in Conectiv's electricity generation group became a priority. This transaction allowed Conectiv, through its investment in EnerTech, to maintain an indirect ownership position in the business. After the divestiture was completed, the Company was renamed Enerwise Global Technologies, Inc. and it secured venture funding of $16.5 million in April 2001 from EnerTech, Hydro Québec CapiTech, Inc., Exelon Enterprises Management, Inc., and Reliant Energy Ventures, Inc. In December 2001 the Company acquired a competitor, Datapult LP. This acquisition provided Enerwise with a more diversified customer list including several blue-chip "big box" retail customers to its already impressive clientele. In 2005, Enerwise became a full member of PJM as a curtailment service provider. This important step enabled Enerwise customers to participate in power pool demand response and spinning reserve markets. Enerwise developed a suite of automated software tools to actively participate in these programs and deploy profitable energy management strategies to monetize the energy assets of their C&I customers. In October 2006 the company acquired Clean Power Markets, Inc. Headquartered in Los Altos, California, and with offices in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, the company builds and administers web-based renewable energy tracking systems for Wisconsin's Renewable Resource Credit program, New Jersey's Solar Renewable Energy Certificate program, and the Connecticut Clean Energy Fund. Today, Enerwise has emerged as the market leader in energy and energy infrastructure management services. This includes a wide range of deliverables such as energy consulting, metering, monitoring, data verification, renewable energy products and services, energy analysis, energy efficiency audits with project implementation, and asset control services. Their customers are domestic and international C&I organizations, including more than 100 of the Fortune 500 companies. Enerwise is a full member of PJM and a leading Curtailment Service Provider ("CSP") managing and administering over 1,600 Megawatts of demand response and renewable loads through it's 24 x 7 Information Command Center. They are also the Registrar of record for the states of New Jersey, Connecticut, and Wisconsin's renewable assets, offering renewable tracking and verification services nationwide. The business plans for 2007 and beyond include expansion into New England, New York and ERCOT ISO systems. Enerwise is supported through its investment arm which includes EnerTech Capital, CapiTech and Endeavor Capital.
