Steele Wines begins its story in the pear orchards of Kelseyville, nestled against the flank of Mt. Konocti in Lake County, just north of the famed Napa Valley. There, in 1966, fifth-generation pear grower Myron Holdenried decided to replant an orchard with 30 acres of Zinfandel grapes.
