Welcome to Women’s Shelter, Inc., Women's Shelter, Inc. provides services, outreach, advocacy, and housing to battered women who are fleeing a life of abuse. The majority of our clients are from Olmsted county even though we serve an 11 county area. Yearly we shelter 277 unduplicated women and 235 unduplicated children. 57% of the residents are women of color - predominantly African American. 96% live below the poverty line.
