The Southern Platte Fire Protection District serves a regulatory role in the district -- a role that's actually decreasing the number of fires we fight each year. We enforce building and fire codes in our district, and Southern Platte inspectors perform a variety of building inspections, ensuring both fire and life safety. The district also issues copies of fire reports, fireworks permits, burn permits, and explosives permits to qualified individuals and companies. And we serve a community-service role.
