Info

ESI is a management-owned firm that maintains strong client relationships through the quality performance and complete involvement of senior-level staff. The principals in the firm have over 50 years combined experience in science, environmental consultation, and engineering. The principals are registered professional geologists and engineers with advanced degrees and, most importantly, a commitment to excellence and client satisfaction. ESI's Hawaii office services a client base that consists of major corporations, banks, property owners, and attorneys. ESI principals are highly experienced in government contract work, having performed numerous projects with the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard. Our staff has wide knowledge of the geologic, hydrogeologic, and environmental conditions on the islands and it includes the foremost environmental geochemistry practice in Hawaii. Our local strength and stability have benefited our clients by providing a highly reputable, fully insured, continuous resource for all of their consulting needs. ESI's Japan office, Environmental Science Corporation [ESC], has performed environmental consultation, investigation and corrective actions for U.S. military clients in Japan and Korea for over seven years. ESC shareholders include prominent Japanese government consulting and venture capital firms. Because of the long-standing stature in the community that these firms represent, ESC is able to obtain valuable information, subcontractors, and other local professional relationships to assist our clients in Japan. Our clients in Japan include factory site owners, petroleum companies, and multinational corporations with assets in Japan. ESI was the first company to introduce multiphase extraction (MPX) remediation to Japan and Korea. ESI continues this tradition of practical application of innovative technology to Hawaii, Japan, and other international sites. Currently ESI is applying Geographic Information Systems [GIS] technology to emergency pre-planning for at risk chemical sites; web-based information management tools to Environmental Management System implementations; and subsurface injection of ozone for bioremediation enhancement.
