The agency has evolved over three generations of the Brett family, growing both our services and product lines to best address the needs of our customers. Founded in 1920 by Wilfred L. Brett and his brother James Brett, and a part of Johnstown's business landscape ever since, Brett Insurance Agency is committed to addressing your business and personal insurance needs with an emphasis on personal attention and customer service. The original agency was located in the Johnstown Bank & Trust building and operated from several locations in the Hornerstown and Moxham neighborhoods of the city. Following Wilfred's death in 1944, the agency was operated by his wife, Catherine, and her sons, John and Robert at which time the agency was moved to at 235 Lincoln Street, Johnstown, PA. Today, the agency is incorprated and operated by James E. Brett, the son of James T. Brett. In November 2003, the agency moved to its present site at 225 Vine Street, in historic downtown Johnstown, PA. We maintain three distinct product divisions, including a commercial division, specializing in account management for business and industry; an experienced financial services division, providing a broad selection of life insurance and investment products; and a customer-centered personal insurance division offering all types of personal insurance including auto, home, and motorcycle from more than 20 top-rated insurance carriers.
