The Commissions Database automates the calculation of complex multi-level commissions that are based on cumulative sales by recruiter and service type. The system was desiged to accomodate both credits and refunds and produces a variety of reports. The Commissions Database currently uses the MS Jet Engine (MDB) as the backend database and the client application was developed usign MS Visual Studio, VB6, Farpoint ActiveX controls, and Brolin's Library of Generic Components. PortalProdigy provides software and services to small businesses, non-profit organizations and associations including charities, social, fraternal, sports, youth activity, trade, professional, lobbying and religious ogananizations. The PortalProdigy system is a web based interaction system for operating and managing such organizations. PortalProdigy was developed primarily with MS Visual Studio. Its architecture uses Brolin's Generic eComponent Library. The Brolin Generic eComponent Library consists of ActiveX/Com Object components/engines written in VB6 and Visual C++. The user interface is entirely comprised of XML templates which are converted to HTML using Mircosoft's ASP technology. The system uses some JavaScript on the client side and it also includes Software Artisan's components for facilitating File Transfers via HTTP. The PortalProdigy system runs on Windows 2000 Servers running MS IIS (Internet Information Server) Web Server and using ASP technology.
