City Credit Union is a full-service financial institution offering quality service while still maintaining a personal, "small town" relationship with our members. We take great pride in consistently receiving high marks in our member satisfaction ratings, because member service is always our number one priority. We offer over 40 years of serving our members and community. The credit union was formed in 1960 by the City of Independence Power & Light workers. From that core, we have expanded to take in groups such as the cities of Independence and Blue Springs, and the Mid-Continent Public Libraries and GEHA. We currently serve 20 employer groups and our members total over 4,000. Those who live or work in the following four zip codes surrounding the credit union are also eligible for membership: 64050, 64055, 64056 or 64057.
