Datawav (pronounced "data wave") is a wholly owned subsidiary of Miles Willard Technologies LLP, an employee owned company with a long history of innovation and investment in Idaho Falls. Miles Willard Technologies has been headquartered in Idaho Falls since 1971. In 1999, eastern Idaho's demand for high-speed access was growing, but traditional Internet Service Providers (ISP) were unable to deliver high-speed service to the outlying neighborhoods that make up much of the region. Miles Willard Technologies recognized the potential of wireless Internet technology and formed Datawav to fill this demand. The company has made substantial investments in infrastructure and has become one of eastern Idaho's leading providers of high-speed residential and business Internet services. In 2001, Datawav acquired Pocatello-based InfoSystems Inc., increasing their ISP customer base and service options. The acquistion added network engineering expertise to their list of core competencies as well.
