Mari Gas Company Limited is a Pakistan-based oil and gas exploration and production company. The Company is principally engaged in drilling, exploration, production and sale of natural gas. As of June 30, 2008, the operated blocks in which the Company had working interest included Zarghun South Field, Ziarat, Karak, Noor, Hanna, Harnai, Sujawal and Sukkur blocks, and its non-operated blocks included Dhadar, Hala, Kot Sarang, Pasni, Nawabshah, Kohat, Bannu West, Zamurdan, Kohlu and Kalchas blocks. It has made a significant gas discovery in Koonj Well # 1A in the Sukkur Exploration Block. The well was spud-in on April 22, 2008, and drilled down to a depth of 1,475 meters in Pab Sandstone of Cretaceous age. The production facilities managed by the Company consist of 86 producing wells and a network of about 255 kilometers gas gathering lines connecting the wells to two central manifolds. The Mari field is capable of producing 500 millions of standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD) of gas.
