The company started in 2000, conducting experiments directed at creating a highly efficient and robust manufacturing process for building synthetic genes. The result of Picoscript's determined research is GENEBUILDER®, a fully automated and novel gene synthesis platform. GENEBUILDER combines patent pending and proprietary solutions, ingenious software, and a broad molecular and chemical expertise. The process allows Picoscript to provide completely accurate custom genes - any length genes, and any number of variations. All of this is offered at affordable prices, within a short two-week window. Picoscript's system is capable of producing even genome scale projects, creating new opportunities for research. During its core development, Picoscript formed beneficial alliances with a few international pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, assisting with sequence and vector development. We experimented with various new methods and materials that could be used in building difficult-to-obtain genes or variations of genes. Picoscript has constructed and sequenced thousands of genes without failure.
