Based in Houston, Texas, the Lone Star Symphonic Band is a community organization comprised of adult musicians from Houston and surrounding areas. Lone Star Symphonic Band was founded in 1993 as the West Houston Concert Band, and performs top quality, challenging U.I.L. high school through college level symphonic music. We perform regularly throughout Houston, as well as Texas. The pieces we are currently playing are listed on the Current Music Page. The Mission of the Lone Star Symphonic Band is to strive to offer the community performances of differing musical styles, balancing audience appeal with challenging literature for the musician. We seek to inspire individuals to continue their musical endeavors through the encouraging atmosphere of the community band. We believe a community band completes a life-long musical journey progressing beyond the typical education cycle of elementary through the collegiate level.
