HoustonJOBS.com was birthed in October of 1998 by Steven and Manon Carr. Steven was working with an Internet Service Provider at the time and was buying domain names for investments. An associate found the name available and HoustonJOBS.com was launched to provide Houston area employers an alternative to expensive print media and other online recruiting services. Since then, HoustonJOBS.com has grown each year to become the largest, privately owned Job Board serving the Houston Metropolitan area. Number one in the search engines when searching "houston jobs", the growth of HoustonJOBS.com has been exponential. In 1999, AustinJOBS.com was acquired and operates separately from HoustonJOBS.com, catering to the Austin, Texas employment community. Looking to the future, HoustonJOBS.com will continue to upgrade the operating software online to include those tools recruiters and job seekers need to better find each other. We have always felt the Internet platform of the Job Board is a ongoing electronic Job Fair.
