Embassy Honolulu

An embassy also known as a diplomatic mission is the official representation of one state or an international inter-governmental organization such as the United Nation in another state. The resident mission is usually the office of the sending state found in the capital city of another country. There are resident embassies and also non-resident embassies. The head of the embassy is called the High Commissioner or Ambassador. The office space in which all the diplomatic work is completed is called the Chancery. Missions between countries of the commonwealth are called high commissions, whereas permanent missions are missions to the UN. Ambassadors tend to be exchanged between foreign countries. The embassy protects citizens of the state in other countries. The embassy is responsible for the issuing of visas and other legal documentation when abroad.
