Bev and Co
Info
Bev & Co. was founded in 1978 under the name Denim Duds by Renee Neiderman's Mother, Beverly Lathrop. It then became Bev's Fashions when Beverly took on more fashionable clothing lines. In 1999, Renee started working with her mother, while still running her Gift Shop, "A Tisket A Tasket" founded in 1998. Beverly retired and Renee ran both shops until 2002 she decided to combine both shops together in the 4,000 square foot Historic "Opera House" in beautiful, picturesque downtown Homer, New York. On the first floor you will see a wonderful collection of women's clothing, gifts, home decor, toys and accessories! The second floor houses an antique shop and there are plans to renovate the third floor back to its days of splendor. It still has the stage that was used in the 1800's! The "Ticket Booth" on the 2nd floor is still intact and has the signatures of actors and actresses and the dates and plays that were performed! Bev & Co. provides you with the latest merchandise, personal service and kindly knowledgeable attention that has become a family trait. Homer is quaint little village that looks like it has stood still in time for more than 150 years. Main Street has many little shops that line Main and Wall Street. The Village Green is surrounded by four churches and is complete with a band stand that features community concerts and events! A walk down Main Street past the 19th Century commercial buildings, old stately mansions and homes, can be a nostalgic trip down memory lane. If you love beautiful things and appreciate historical preservation - please come to Homer and plan on spending the afternoon!
