Indian Time Newspaper
Info
Indian Time is Akwesasne's most read news publication. Our news coverage focuses on the Mohawks of Akwesasne, a group of about 10,000 individuals. Indian Time is a news journal dedicated to reporting what is happening in Akwesasne and our sister Iroquois communities. The news policy at Indian Time insists we give our readers as truthful reporting as we can. We encourage and invite opinions different from our own and we are committed to a free and open press. By this means, we have the ability to make intelligent, informed decisions about our collective future. Indian Time is a product of the people of Akwesasne. It is Akwesasne's newspaper - printing stories about Akwesasne. We believe that Indian Time serves as a time capsule for Akwesasne. Each week, we try to represent the current news, trends, events, culture, and Mohawk people in an effort to capture today's Akwesasne. Indian Time is owned by the Mohawk Nation Council of Chiefs.
