The Ohio State Medical Association Joint Advisory Committee on Sports Medicine serves to promote the health and safety of thousands of Ohio's interscholastic athletes through close cooperation with the Ohio High School Athletic Association, Ohio Athletic Trainers Association and other sports medicine organizations. The primary focus is to address policy issues in sports medicine, physician coverage of OHSAA's state tournaments and playoffs. Additionally, the Committee brings special recognition to volunteer physicians for long and dedicated service to interscholastic athletes.
